Telegram two-step verification adds a password to the login process. A login code alone should then be insufficient to open a new session. This is separate from a device passcode that only locks the app on that device.
Where to check the setting
In Telegram, open Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Two-Step Verification. Follow the app’s current instructions for setting a unique password and a recovery email. Protect that email account too: recovery access is part of the security boundary.
Review sessions after suspicious contact
Open Devices or Active Sessions and review the listed logins. Terminate sessions you do not recognise. Do not assume that adding a password automatically removes every session that already exists. Keep access to a trusted device while making recovery changes.
What a casino chat never needs
A support agent does not need your Telegram login code, cloud password or crypto recovery phrase. An instruction to send a code “to verify a withdrawal” should be treated as an account-access request, not a payment check. Inspect the exact username rather than relying on a copied display name.
Limits of the protection
Two-step verification protects account access; it does not certify a casino, secure funds sent to a third-party wallet or make a bot trustworthy. If credentials were disclosed, secure the account and email, revoke unknown sessions and preserve the messages. This guide does not require sending credentials to anyone.
